The UN Tech Over brings people together to work on real UN challenges and build practical solutions. This day will be about moving from discussion to action, proving that open source can turn global goals into real tools. This event will demonstrate how open source collaboration can help translate global priorities into practical, reusable tools, and support ongoing efforts toward the implementation of the Global Digital Compact.
This Hack-A-Thon will offer a space for a collaborative innovation sprint where participants use open source tools and artificial intelligence to rapidly build solutions addressing global challenges aligned with UN goals.
This event aims to leverage participants’ research, documentation and critical thinking abilities to enhance selected Wikipedia pages of relevance. Throughout the day, experts and mentors will assist participants in updating these pages so as to publish in-depth, accurate reports.

This event, organized for open source maintainers, stewards, and policymakers, spotlights the maintenance of critical open source infrastructure. It consists of two tracks: open source maintainer-led sessions to share knowledge and best practices, surface and articulate the craft of open source software maintenance with real-world practices and a (2) dedicated track on policy, institutional capacity building, and long-term stewardship.

This invite-only event is hosted in collaboration with LinkedIn, bringing together select participants to discuss and explore key topics related to the impact of artificial intelligence in the workforce.
Open Source for AI and Emerging Technologies (Open Source x AI) assesses the potential of open source as a gateway to establishing a sustainable AI future. Through the examination of topics such as open hardware and open robots, the Day aims to bridge digital divides, promote responsible AI development, and build AI capacity.

This event positions Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) as a critical enabler of the digital economy and broader digital transformation. By aligning operational strategies with national priorities, DPI Day promotes the inclusive design, implementation, and long-term sustainability of DPI projects. Participants will discuss how to translate the commitments made in the Global Digital Compact, which include investments in DPI and Safeguards, into concrete action.

OSPOs for Good will mobilize the open source ecosystem to drive capacity building and global knowledge sharing.
