
Tobi is a Senior Analyst at the United Nations Office for Digital and Emerging Technologies, where she supports global digital cooperation initiatives with a focus on Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), digital transformation, and capacity-building in digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
In her current role, Tobi leads capacity-building initiatives on AI and digital transformation, including work with a regional focus on Africa to accelerate digital transformation in support of the Sustainable Development Goals. She also stewards the DPI Safeguards multi-stakeholder Working Groups to develop a universal DPI Safeguards Framework and supporting knowledge products to help countries address risks such as exclusion, discrimination, and privacy harms in DPI implementation.
Before joining the United Nations, Tobi worked in the energy sector as a Digital Transformation Analyst, where she led the development of data-driven solutions for predictive maintenance and production operations using machine learning and artificial intelligence. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Lagos, a Master’s degree in Computing Information Engineering from Robert Gordon University, where she graduated top of her class, and a Master’s degree in International Affairs and Public Policy from Columbia University.
