
Ruth Suehle is president of the Apache Software Foundation, providing software for the public good with more than 300 projects. She is also vice-chair of the Open Source Initiative board of directors and has helped build open source communities for nearly two decades. Previously in Red Hat’s OSPO, Ruth is currently director of open source at SAS, where she is building a nearly 50-year-old analytics, data management, and AI software company’s first open source program office. She is a frequent writer, co-author of Raspberry Pi Hacks, and former editor of Red Hat Magazine and opensource.com.
