Ilya Lazarev
Associate Information Systems Officer, UN Office on Drugs and Crime
Ilya Lazarev is a Software Developer in the goAML team. He holds a BA, BSc, and MBA from Webster University Vienna and has worked for UNODC for over 20 years as a full-stack software developer, focusing on web-based solutions for internal UNODC stakeholders.
In 2025, he transitioned to the goAML project to work in the field of financial intelligence, supporting efforts to counter money laundering and terrorist financing, and became a key member of the team developing a new analytical capability in goAML based on graph database technology.
