
David Damian is a Partnerships and Outreach professional at the United Nations International Computing Centre (UNICC), where he supports strategic engagement and collaboration initiatives across the United Nations system and the broader international technology ecosystem. His work focuses on fostering partnerships and dialogue in areas related to emerging technologies, digital transformation, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and innovation in support of multilateral cooperation.
Prior to joining UNICC, David served for more than a decade as a Mexican Delegate at the Permanent Mission of Mexico to the United Nations in both Geneva and New York, where he covered a broad range of multilateral, diplomatic, and intergovernmental matters. This experience provided him with extensive exposure to the workings of the United Nations system and international negotiations and continues to support his current engagement with Member States and diplomatic stakeholders at UN Headquarters in New York.
With experience coordinating global initiatives and engaging with stakeholders from Member States, academia, the private sector, and international organizations, David has contributed to advancing discussions on technology governance, responsible innovation, and digital cooperation within the UN context. He frequently moderates and contributes to global discussions and events related to emerging technologies and multilateral collaboration.
