Officer-in-Charge of Software Products for Member States Section, UN Office on Drugs and Crime

Michiel van Dyk brings over 22 years of extensive experience in the international crime prevention and criminal justice field, with a strong specialization in combating financial crime, including illicit financial flows, money laundering, and the financing of terrorism.

He currently serves on a temporary basis as Officer-in-Charge of the Software Products for Member States Section and, in his substantive function, acts as Business Relationship Manager within the same section as part of the goAML team. In this capacity, he oversees strategic engagement with Member States and supports the delivery and evolution of goAML, UNODC’s flagship software solution. goAML is a state-of-the-art platform used by Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs) worldwide to detect, analyze, and combat financial crimes, including money laundering and terrorist financing.
