Julia Vieira de Andrade Dias Emendabili

Julia Emendabili is a Digital Innovation Specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank, where she leads Code for Development, the IDB's open-source program. Her work focuses on expanding the supply and accelerating the adoption of open-source solutions across Latin America and the Caribbean, and on supporting IDB teams in identifying, developing, and scaling innovative digital tools. She represents the IDB in global networks advancing digital public infrastructure, including the Digital Public Goods Alliance and the 50-in-5 initiative.

Julia brings more than 15 years of experience in multilateral and social impact organizations in Latin America, spanning support to high-impact entrepreneurs in Brazil, the structuring of innovation ecosystems, business environment reform, and public sector adoption of innovation. She holds a master's in public administration from Columbia University and is passionate about using digital tools to improve the design and execution of public policies, particularly those aimed at reducing extreme poverty.
