Peppi Väänänen

Peppi Väänänen is an Associate Expert on AI Governance at the United Nations Office for Digital and Emerging Technologies, where she supports the Independent International Scientific Panel on AI.

Prior to joining ODET, she worked on rule of law, security, and human rights at the United Nations Development Programme Regional Office for the Arab States. She has also held roles in trust and safety in the tech sector, project coordination in international security think tanks, and business and human rights in the oil and gas sector.
